Model comparison
Lasko CT22495 vs CT22498 vs CT22360: choose by control, not color
These three Lasko towers share a compact 22-inch ceramic form, but they are not one interchangeable listing. CT22495 is the Black SKU; CT22498 is the Black/Silver SKU in the same current native listing. Each has a separate variant ID, image and model-specific instructions. CT22360 is a different product family with a separate manual and an unusual selectable 90-, 170- or 360-degree air sweep. Compare the exact model number before deciding which control package fits.
At a glance
| Configuration | Most distinctive documented control | What not to assume |
|---|---|---|
| CT22495 Black | Remote Night Mode; three heat levels; child lock; 12-hour shutoff countdown | Lower-stage wattages, thermostat range and numeric oscillation angle are not stated |
| CT22498 Black/Silver | Remote Beep Mute plus display brightness choices from full to off; 12-hour shutoff countdown | Its manual does not name a dedicated Night Mode or publish a measured coverage result |
| CT22360 Black | Selectable 90°, 170° or 360° air-director sweep; removable intake filter | No countdown timer or three-setting heat control is documented |
The key distinction: two different remote interfaces
Choose CT22495 if a simple nighttime panel mode is the useful detail. Its exact manual says the remote’s Night Mode turns off the other display icons while leaving the heat icon lit; touching a control wakes the panel temporarily. It also has an automatic display dimming behavior. The manual for CT22498, by contrast, labels a remote Beep Mute and a four-state display dimmer: Full, Medium, Low or Off. That gives more explicit control over button sounds and brightness. It does not use the term “Night Mode,” so the two names should not be merged just because both products have a dark-display option.
The shared listing gives both variants three heat choices, Auto Eco, a remote, child lock, tip-over and overheat protection, and an auto-off timer up to 12 hours. These are usefully similar capabilities, but the manuals are tied to different model numbers and button behavior. If a particular remote function matters, verify that the retail package says CT22495 or CT22498, not only “22-inch Lasko tower.”
Choose CT22360 when airflow direction matters more
CT22360 is the more specialized air-distribution choice. Its manual names three selectable sweep positions, including full-circle movement, and its current product information documents a removable intake filter. That does not mean it warms all parts of a room evenly: the arc describes where the heater turns, not a tested room-temperature result. It offers two heat settings and no auto-off countdown. The CT22495 and CT22498 manuals instead identify three heat levels and a 12-hour timer. None of the three manuals gives an exact wattage for each lower heat level, an independent sound measurement or a controlled room-heating result.
Timer, temperature and everyday placement
The CT22495 and CT22498 countdowns stop a heater that is already running. Their manuals describe half-hour timer steps through two hours, then hourly steps up to 12 hours; neither is a delayed-start schedule. CT22360 has no countdown timer listed. Each manual describes its own thermostat behavior, but the setpoint limits are not published in the pages checked. A countdown or thermostat is not permission to leave a portable heater running unattended.
All three are floor heaters for dry indoor use, not bathroom, laundry, outdoor or damp-room choices. Their manuals require a direct wall receptacle and large clearances around combustibles. For the CT22495 and CT22498 manuals, the front clearance is 3 feet and side/rear clearance is 1 foot; CT22360 has the same requirements. Measure from the heater to furniture, bedding and curtains before treating the narrow body as easy to tuck into a tight corner. Keep each heater on a level, stable floor and follow the instructions for its own model.
Which one fits your must-have?
- Pick CT22495 when the Black finish and its exact remote Night Mode are what you want.
- Pick CT22498 when you want the Black/Silver finish plus documented beep muting and selectable display brightness.
- Compare CT22360 when the documented full-circle sweep and removable intake filter are more valuable than a shutoff timer.
- Look elsewhere if you require fan-only operation, a later scheduled start, app control, bathroom approval or unattended use; these manuals do not establish those needs for these models.
The three CT22495, CT22498 and CT22360 assessments spell out each manual’s controls, limits and unknowns. They are more reliable buying references than a shared family name or a color photo alone.
