Your needs, this model
Does it fit your priorities?
Do you need heat that can sweep a full circle rather than stay aimed in one direction?
The CT24362 manual lets you select 90°, 180° or 360° movement of the upper air director. Full-circle sweep is available, but it does not promise even heat in every part of a room.
Explore this need in the finder →Is a physical remote supplied, and do you also need phone-app control?
Lasko lists the remote and two AAA batteries as included. The manual says remote functions mirror the heater controls except changing °F/°C; the page says no app compatibility.
Explore this need in the finder →Would you use three selectable heat levels, not just a thermostat?
Yes. The exact manual names H1 Low, H2 Medium and H3 High. The 750–1,500 W output range is not divided into per-level wattages.
Explore this need in the finder →Do you want the heater to switch itself off after a countdown?
The exact manual allows an auto-off timer up to eight hours; it does not schedule a later start, and it warns not to leave the unit unattended.
Explore this need in the finder →Is a separate fan-only mode essential, or is fan run-on during heating enough?
CT24362 does not document a user-selectable fan-only mode. Its fan runs during fan-forced heating and briefly after thermostat shutoff; that run-on is not a mode for circulating unheated air. If separate fan-only use is essential, compare CC24810 or DREO MC706.
Explore this need in the finder →Does the 24.1-inch body fit under your height limit?
The current Lasko specification lists 24.1 inches high. It clears a 25-inch cap but fails a strict 24-inch body-height cap; required operating clearance is additional.
Explore this need in the finder →Will the manual allow the intended bathroom or outdoor location?
No. The exact instructions rule out bathrooms, laundry areas, damp/wet locations and outdoor use. Tip-over and thermal-overload protection do not alter that restriction.
Explore this need in the finder →Do you need the 360-degree setting to fit a narrow-height location too?
The arc is documented, but the body is 24.1 inches tall. A combined 360-degree requirement and 24-inch body cap excludes it; the shorter CT22360 is a documented full-circle alternative.
Explore this need in the finder →The Lasko CT24362 is a black, floor-standing ceramic tower with three heat settings, Auto Eco, a remote and a timer that can shut the heater off after as much as eight hours. Its distinguishing control is a selectable 90°, 180° or 360° sweep of the upper air director. That rotation can distribute the outlet direction around the room; it is not a measured guarantee of even temperatures or a substitute for a room-heating test.
One current U.S. configuration: CT24362 in Black
Lasko's current U.S. page identifies model CT24362 and the All Heaters collection snapshot records one Black variant, SKU CT24362. That dated snapshot marked it available; inventory can change. The product page lists a 24.1-inch height and a 9.2-by-9.2-inch footprint. Body size is only part of the placement decision: the manual requires 36 inches of clearance in front and 12 inches at the sides and rear. Check that full envelope before deciding whether the small footprint suits a corner or beside a desk.
The listed body weight needs caution. Lasko's product page says 7.35 pounds, while its native variant record stores 7711 with no unit. Since those records cannot be reconciled from the available documentation, weight is left unknown rather than converted or selected from the conflicting figures.
What full-circle heat sweep does—and does not—mean
The CT24362 manual names the moving part: the upper air director oscillates. Pressing the control cycles through 90°, 180° and 360° options; another press turns movement off. At the 360° selection, the outlet sweeps around the tower. This is a practical way to avoid keeping the warm-air stream pointed in one direction, but it does not establish a measured coverage pattern, faster warm-up or uniform comfort around the room. The automatic movement is horizontal only in the documented operating plan; there is no vertical sweep or hand-adjustable tilt feature. It is also not the same as the powered outlet louvers on Lasko's CC24810 console.
Auto Eco changes how the heater responds to its room-temperature setpoint. The instructions say it runs High when the room is more than three degrees below the setpoint, Low at the setpoint, and shuts off the heating element when the room reaches two degrees above it. The fan continues for about 15 seconds after the element stops. The display reads room temperature, not outlet-air temperature. This mode offers automatic High/Low cycling; it is not a fourth heat level and not proof of lower energy bills.
Three heat settings, an included remote, and an off timer
The manual lists H1 Low, H2 Medium and H3 High. Lasko's current specifications state a 750-to-1,500-watt output range and a 1,500-watt maximum at 120 volts, but they do not assign a wattage to each level. If knowing the exact Low draw is essential, this page and manual do not answer it. The product page also lists a maximum coverage area of 150 square feet while its overview uses broad “large room” language. Treat the numeric area as Lasko's estimate—not as a tested promise for a drafty, high-ceilinged or unusually shaped room.
A handheld remote is listed in the current accessory package; the manual confirms it uses two AAA batteries and that those batteries are included. Remote functions work like the heater controls except that Fahrenheit/Celsius selection must be made on the unit. Lasko lists no phone-app compatibility. The timer runs up to eight hours and turns off a running heater; no delayed start is documented. If the heater must start while you are away, this timer does not meet that need.
Placement, maintenance and daily limits
Use it only as supervised supplemental heat in a dry residential room, on a firm, flat, level floor. The instructions require a direct 120-volt wall outlet: no extension cord, power strip, surge protector, multi-outlet adapter or other cord-connected device, and do not share the outlet or circuit with another device. Keep combustible materials at least three feet in front and one foot at the sides and back. Lasko rules out bathrooms, laundry areas, damp or wet locations, outdoors, agricultural and hazardous locations; the manual also says not to leave the heater operating unattended. A tip-over switch and thermal-overload protector are listed, but neither changes those instructions.
The removable front filter cover gives access for cleaning. Lasko instructs owners to unplug before cleaning or moving the heater and to vacuum intake grilles every two weeks with a brush attachment. Do not take the heater apart or immerse it. The listed limited warranty lasts three years for the original purchaser. On the current product page, Lasko also lists 44 dBA on High and 37 dBA on Low; those are manufacturer-provided figures with no method or test conditions stated here, not independent noise measurements.
Who should shortlist it?
Consider CT24362 when you want three heat choices, an included remote, Auto Eco, and a selectable full-circle sweep in a compact-footprint floor tower—and when the 24.1-inch body plus required clearances fit. Skip it if a true fan-only mode, app control, scheduled start, 24-inch-or-lower height, bathroom permission or a verified weight is essential. Do not infer a child lock from the remote or digital display; no control lock is documented.
Compare the shorter CT22360 if its exact 90°/170°/360° sweep and two heat levels are enough and you do not need a timer. Compare CC24810 if separate F1/F2 fan-only operation, three heat settings, powered louvers or a 12-hour countdown better match the routine; that console's remote package remains unresolved and its documents do not establish a full-circle sweep. These are control and fit differences, not evidence that one heater warms a room better. Follow each exact manual for placement and use.
