Lasko AW300 / AW310 Bladeless Ceramic Tower Heater review

A 27-inch channel-style ceramic floor tower in two exact configurations: Black AW310 and White AW300. Both have two heat levels, adjustable thermostat, remote, oscillation and an 8-hour off timer; neither manual documents fan-only operation or a numeric oscillation arc.

A useful fit for

For supervised supplemental heat in a dry residential room where a tall but narrow floor tower, remote control, two heat levels, adjustable thermostat and auto-off countdown are useful. The exact current U.S. row has a Black AW310 SKU and White AW300 SKU; the white official image carries Air Logic branding. Each exact model has a separately inspected New 6/18 manual.

The main tradeoff

The 27.17-inch body needs room above a 27-inch cap and separate 36-inch front / 12-inch side and rear combustible clearance. Manual use is direct to a 120-V wall outlet, dry-room only and supervised. An 8-hour off timer does not authorize unattended operation. Neither exact manual documents fan-only use, a sweep axis/angle, or a tip-over switch. The 900–1,500-W output range is not mapped to High and Low; the 150-sq-ft coverage figure and cool-touch wording are manufacturer claims, not independent test results.

Your needs, this model

Does it fit your priorities?

Does “bladeless” mean this heater can circulate air without adding heat?

No separate fan-only setting appears in either the AW300 or AW310 manual. The open heat channel is a design description, not a documented no-heat air-circulation mode. If fan-only airflow is essential, choose a model whose exact manual names that mode.

Can you rely on the tower's oscillation to meet a horizontal sweep requirement?

The exact manuals document an oscillation control, but do not state the axis or arc. A numeric or horizontal movement requirement is therefore not confirmed; do not assume this is a 90- or 360-degree tower.

Does its 8-hour countdown make unattended or overnight operation acceptable?

No. The manuals describe an auto-off countdown but separately say not to leave the heater operating unattended. Use the timer only as an end time for a supervised heating session.

Do you want an included physical remote for the exact model and appearance in this listing?

The Black AW310 configuration has Lasko branding and the White AW300 image has Air Logic branding; both model-specific manuals list a remote, with two AAA batteries not included. The controls and manuals are assessed separately even though the page groups them.

Will the 27.17-inch body fit your available height?

Lasko lists a 27.17-inch body. It fits a 28-inch body-height limit but not a 27-inch limit; leave separate operating clearances around it.

Does “bladeless” establish genuinely fanless heat rather than an unexposed fan mechanism?

No. Both AW manuals call the heater bladeless but do not specify the internal fan mechanism. Fanless convection is therefore unknown, not confirmed. If fanless heat is essential, use a model whose exact source documents it.

The Lasko AW310 Black and AW300 White are the two exact variants of one U.S. 27-inch “bladeless” ceramic tower listing. Both model manuals document two heat levels, a thermostat, oscillation, a remote and an eight-hour off timer. The useful fit is a slim floor tower; the limits are no documented fan-only mode, an unspecified sweep and a manual warning against unattended operation.

Two model numbers in one product row

Lasko’s current listing pairs a Black AW310 SKU with a White AW300 SKU. They are different model numbers with separate manuals and distinct appearances: the Black official image bears Lasko branding; the White one says Air Logic. Both New 6/18 manuals document the same core controls, so one family assessment is useful without collapsing the model identities. The collection snapshot showed both variants available when checked; availability can change.

What “bladeless” does—and does not—tell you

The open heat channel is the advertised “bladeless” design. Lasko calls the heater ceramic and promotes its Heat Channels; the manuals show intake grilles, an exhaust opening and a permanent EZclick filter. Neither model manual documents a fan-only setting, and no exact source identifies the heating mechanism as fanless convection. An open outlet does not establish either capability. If you need air movement without heat or truly fanless heat, this family is not a confirmed match.

The page lists two heat levels and an overall 900–1,500-watt range at 120 volts. The manuals call the settings High and Low but do not map wattage to either, so do not assume Low equals 900 watts. Both manuals describe an adjustable thermostat that shuts the heater off at a target temperature; neither gives its setpoint range, accuracy or stage behavior. Those details remain unknown rather than borrowed from a similar tower.

Oscillation without a published sweep

Both manuals show an oscillation button, and the product page promotes oscillation. Neither names an axis or angle. That is enough to confirm movement, not a horizontal, 90-, 170- or 360-degree sweep. If your room depends on a documented side-to-side arc, consider the separate Model 6451 / Gray 6451M: its manual lists 90-, 170- and 360-degree choices. The AW family’s distinctive tradeoff is the channel tower and timed shutoff, not a proven movement pattern.

An off timer is not unattended-use permission

The running heater can be set to switch off after one to eight hours, in one-hour increments. No scheduled start is documented. More importantly, both exact-model manuals say not to leave the heater operating unattended; use its timer to end a supervised session, not to leave heat on overnight. The manuals separately describe thermal-overload protection: after an overheat shutdown, unplug the heater, let it cool and reset it. This is not a confirmed tip-over switch. The page claims overheat protection and cool-touch housing, but those claims do not prove tip-over protection.

Measure the floor space, then follow the manual

Lasko lists a body 27.17 inches high, 8.1 inches wide and 9.25 inches deep; the stated weight is 9.66 pounds. A 27-inch body-height cap is too short. Its listed maximum coverage is 150 square feet, while promotional copy also says “large rooms”; treat coverage as a manufacturer claim, not a room-heating test or guarantee for a drafty or open-plan space. The manuals require at least 36 inches clear in front and 12 inches at the sides and rear, separate from the body-size measurement.

Place either unit on a firm, level floor and connect it directly to a 120-volt wall outlet. The manuals prohibit extension cords, power strips, surge protectors and multiple-outlet adapters, and say not to share the outlet or circuit. They rule out bathrooms, laundry rooms, wet or damp locations, outdoor use and unattended operation. Keep the intake and outlet open; unplug before moving or cleaning. Lasko instructs owners to vacuum the permanent EZclick filter and intake grille every two weeks; it is not described as a replaceable air-purifying filter. The page lists a three-year limited warranty. Coverage and cool-touch wording are manufacturer statements, not independent test results.

Who should consider it?

Consider the Black AW310 or White AW300 when a tall, narrow floor tower, remote, two heat choices, adjustable thermostat and timed shutoff suit a supervised dry-room routine. Check which exact model and appearance you want: AW310 is Black with Lasko branding; AW300 is White with Air Logic branding. Skip both if fan-only airflow, confirmed fanless heat, a specified sweep angle, tip-over cutoff, bathroom approval or unattended heating is non-negotiable. For a verified 360-degree sweep, compare the 6451M; for fan-only modes and a longer timer, compare the CC24810 console and its own manual. Read the current Lasko listing, AW310 manual and AW300 manual for the exact variant before setup.
