A useful fit for

A dry indoor room where a portable 120-volt heater can sit on an open floor with three feet of clearance, and the owner values a remote, digital thermostat and a documented 1-to-8-hour shutoff timer.

The main tradeoff

The HHF370 has a countdown shutoff but no documented delayed start, app control or fan-only mode. Honeywell's manual says never to leave the heater operating unattended; the timer is not evidence of approval for unattended use.

Your needs, this model

Does it fit your priorities?

Do you want a remote and an automatic shutoff of at least eight hours?

The HHF370 manual documents an included remote and selectable auto-off periods of 1, 2, 4 or 8 hours. It does not document a delayed start.

Is all-around heat with a digital thermostat more useful than a forward-facing stream?

Honeywell describes 360-degree output; the manual confirms a digital desired-temperature control and two heat levels. It is not documented as an oscillating tower.

Can the heater's 8-hour auto-off limit and dry-location safety rules work for you?

The timer stops after at most eight hours, while the manual excludes bathroom/laundry use and says never to leave the operating unit unattended.

The Honeywell 360° Digital Surround Heater HHF370B adds a remote, a digital temperature display and an automatic shutoff countdown to the all-around airflow idea used by the manual-control HHF360. This review addresses the black U.S. configuration sold under MPN HHF370BV3 and listed by Honeywell Plugged In as HHF370B. It is a portable floor heater for dry indoor rooms—not a wall unit, app-connected heater or oscillating tower.

Digital controls make the key difference

Both HHF370 heat levels are documented: Low is 750 watts and High is 1,500 watts. The digital thermostat lets you choose a desired temperature; the display shows the set point briefly, then returns to the room reading. The heater starts at High when powered on, so check the setting before leaving it to run. A remote can switch the unit on or off, change heat level, set the thermostat and select the timer. Its storage spot is in the handle, which helps keep the small accessory with the heater.

The timer is a countdown shutoff, with 1-, 2-, 4- or 8-hour choices. It is not a documented delayed start or an app schedule. That distinction matters if you want heat to begin before arriving home: the manual does not establish that function. A request for an automatic off cycle of eight hours or less fits the published settings; a stricter minimum beyond eight hours does not. The manual also warns never to leave the heater operating unattended, so the countdown is not a reason to run it while away or asleep.

Surround heat is not oscillation

The circular grille is designed to distribute heated air around the heater. The manufacturer describes a 360-degree range and a small-to-medium-room use claim, but gives no substantiated square-foot performance guarantee. This is fan-forced ceramic supplemental heat; the documentation does not describe a separate Fan Only mode. Nor does it describe a motorized side-to-side sweep. If your questionnaire answer requires Fan Only, fanless convection, or documented oscillation, this model should not pass even though its heat travels around the body.

For a more directional desk zone, a heater with a forward outlet may aim warmth more directly. For a simple 360-degree floor heater without the digital timer and remote, compare the HHF360, but keep its unresolved fan-only claim in mind. The HHF370 makes the most sense when room-temperature display, remote adjustment and a limited timed shutoff matter more than app control or a focused air stream.

Plan the electrical load and clearances first

The manual identifies 120-volt operation, 1,500-watt maximum input and 12.5 amps. It uses a polarized plug and should connect directly to a wall outlet; the instructions prohibit extension cords and power strips and warn against using a circuit that already has other appliances operating. The high setting is not a small load. Check the outlet and circuit before choosing a spot, and do not use a loose receptacle or route the cord under rugs or furniture.

Set the heater on a firm, level, open surface and keep it three feet from walls and combustible materials. The manual excludes bathrooms, laundry rooms and similar wet locations, and says not to leave the heater unattended. It documents a 360-degree tip-over switch, an over-temperature safety control and a thermal cutoff fuse. Those devices do not replace the required space around the heater or the instruction to supervise it.

Is HHF370 the right fit?

The published body dimensions are about 8.1 inches wide by 7.9 inches deep by 11.2 inches high. The compact footprint is easy to move using the handle, but the three-foot clearance rule means the practical operating area needs to be much larger than the housing. The manufacturer lists a three-year limited warranty. No independent heating-speed, noise or room-coverage measurements are available here, so room claims should be treated as the manufacturer’s guidance rather than lab results.

Consider the HHF370 if you need a portable indoor heater with two heat levels, a digital adjustable thermostat, a remote and a clear 1-to-8-hour auto-off countdown. Skip it if the essential need is app control, delayed start, a longer timed run, outdoor or bathroom use, wall installation or certified unattended operation. It is not a replacement for safe fixed heating in a room that requires a larger capacity. Search the exact HHF370B / HHF370BV3 model, since related 360 Surround versions use different controls; the black image used here is the manufacturer-store product image and its photo-versus-render status is not stated.
