Your needs, this model
Does it fit your priorities?
Does the 715 provide both horizontal and vertical sweep with at least 70° of documented horizontal movement?
DREO states 70° horizontal and 45° vertical oscillation; the manual has separate axis controls but does not specify selectable angles.
Explore this need in the finder →Can the 715 move air when you do not want heat?
Yes. The DR-HSH015 manual lists three fan-only settings, F1, F2 and F3.
Explore this need in the finder →Can the 715 timer start the heater later?
No delayed start is documented; the US manual describes a countdown to turn off a running heater.
Explore this need in the finder →DREO calls the 715 a Whole-Room Heater, while its US manual labels it a 2-in-1 Whole-Room Heater & Circulator. The support page identifies its exact US appliance as model DR-HSH015. DREO's native US heater listing has one default SKU, 10-040151-001, and marked it available in the October 23, 2026 snapshot. The separate model number matters: this is not a finish of the 714, which uses the DR-HSH034 manual.
Heat and circulation in one portable unit
The 715 uses a fan-forced PTC ceramic heater rated at 1,500 watts on 120V, 60Hz. Its manual lists three heating steps: 900W, 1,300W and 1,500W. ECO mode lets you choose a temperature between 41°F and 95°F, after which the heater cycles the output around that target. That is a control feature, not a verified room-coverage result; drafts and room layout can make the actual temperature uneven. If you want air movement without adding heat, switch to one of the three fan-only speeds, F1 through F3.
The product-page description lists 70° horizontal and 45° vertical oscillation. The manual confirms separate horizontal and vertical swing controls, but it does not list alternate angle settings. So this heater's value is simple dual-axis movement, not fine control over the sweep width. In comparison, the 714 manual lets you select horizontal arcs of 30°, 60° or 90° and vertical arcs of 30° or 60°. Choose the 715 if its advertised sweep suits the room; choose the 714 when controlling the angle or confirming body fit is more important.
Check dimensions before deciding where it goes
The 715 looks like a low, rounded portable appliance rather than a tall tower, but a product rendering is not a ruler. The official US sources reviewed here do not publish its height, width, depth or weight. If it must fit under furniture, between chair legs, or on a particular surface, request those measurements before committing. The closely related 714 does have a published 12.4-inch height, but that is a different exact model and should not be substituted for the 715.
More importantly, the unit needs a safe operating zone larger than its body. The US DR-HSH015 manual says to place it on a flat, dry, level surface, keep combustibles at least three feet from the front and away from the sides and back, and plug it directly into a wall outlet. It prohibits extension cords and power strips, outdoor use, bathrooms and other damp locations. The front surface can become hot. Tip-over and overheat shutoffs help respond to a problem; they do not make a crowded or unstable placement acceptable.
Its timer stops a running heater
Use the remote or the controls on the appliance to change modes, adjust the target or start a 0–12-hour countdown. When that countdown ends, the heater turns off. The timer is not a programmed start from off. There is also a separate 24-hour continuous-operation shutoff, but the manual says it is disabled by default. When you press Power to stop the heater, a 30-second countdown lets the fan move the remaining heat out. The appliance remembers the previous settings after being turned off or unplugged, except the timer.
A child lock, tip-over response and overheat protection are documented. The control panel display switches off after a minute, according to the manual. DREO's product page calls the heater 34 dB; that is a maker claim, not a sound measurement for this review. The phone-app capability is not established in the US documents I reviewed, so a remote should not be mistaken for app access.
Cleaning and day-to-day limits
After turning the heater off, unplug it and wait for it to cool. The manual recommends a soft dry cloth for the outside and a dry cloth or cotton-tipped swab to clear dust from the air inlet. Do not immerse the appliance, spray cleaners into the vents, use abrasive scrubbers or open the housing. For an error code, recurring shutdown or damaged cord, follow the maker's troubleshooting and support instructions rather than attempting a repair.
This is a supplemental indoor heater, not a replacement for a home's primary heating system or a guarantee of even warmth in an open plan. Its movable head, ECO temperature setting and fan-only mode make it adaptable for a room where one portable unit is useful throughout the day. But the unavailable body measurements limit precise fit decisions, and the manual's three-foot front clearance can dominate the floor plan anyway.
Who should consider the 715?
Consider the 715 if you want a portable heater with three heat levels, a fan-only setting, horizontal and vertical motion, remote operation and a shutoff countdown—and you can confirm the physical size for your location. It is not the right choice when a measured height, a later start, a phone app, a selectable 90° horizontal sweep or a specific indoor clearance smaller than the manual allows is essential. The 714 is the more precisely specified compact alternative: it has angle choices and published body dimensions. For fixed 360-degree output without a moving head, compare the 725. For a tower with more fan speed choices, compare the MC706; for fanless heat, look at the convection 711 family.
This is a document-based assessment of model DR-HSH015, not a hands-on test. DREO's US product listing, exact-model support page and US manual support the details above. Neither temperature performance, noise nor room coverage was independently measured.
