A useful fit for

For a dry indoor room where fixed wall installation is acceptable and a fan heater with separate Fan Only operation and app scheduling is useful.

The main tradeoff

It is wall-only and not suitable for bathrooms or laundry areas. Its 0–24-hour local timer turns off a running heater; scheduling is a separate app function. The manual does not identify a horizontal or vertical axis for its fan-angle settings, and the complete body dimensions and mounting clearances beyond its front combustible warning are not established in the reviewed documents.

Your needs, this model

Does it fit your priorities?

Can the 719S stay wall-mounted and run a separate fan without heat?

Yes. The exact manual documents wall-only installation and a separate Fan Only mode. It cannot stand on the floor as a portable heater.

Can I set heating hours in the app, and is that different from the local timer?

Yes. The manual describes an app schedule and the DREO page says room-heating hours can be scheduled. The local 0–24-hour timer is an auto-off countdown while the heater is running; do not confuse the two.

Does its listed body height fit a 13-inch wall space?

DREO’s wall-heater comparison chart lists a 13-inch body height for the 719S. This does not include the installation and combustible clearances; the manual requires at least 3 feet in front from combustibles.

Is the 719S allowed in a dry indoor wall location, and can it be used in a bathroom?

The manual allows household indoor operation but expressly says the heater is not intended for bathrooms, laundry areas or similar locations. A bathroom requirement excludes it.

DREO’s Smart Wall-Mounted Heater 719S is a fixed wall fan heater, not a portable version of the brand’s floor heaters. The US product row uses one Default Title SKU, 10-04009-112; there is no finish selector in the observed record. Its product page calls it the Smart Wall-Mounted Heater 719S, while the matching model manual cover says WH719S and its rating panel identifies DR-HSH009S. That exact manual bridge matters because DREO’s similarly named 517S, 517AS and 711S are separate wall products with different instructions.

Plan around the wall, not a small-looking panel

The 719S is meant to be secured vertically to a wall before it is used. The manual shows a drilling guide, top anchors and bottom anchors; it explicitly says not to prop the heater against an object or use it with the grille vertical. If you rent, cannot drill, lack a suitable mounting surface, or want one heater that can be rolled between rooms, a portable floor model is the more practical direction. The included mounting pieces do not make every wall type suitable: choose anchors and installation that actually secure the heater to the surface.

DREO’s wall-heater comparison chart lists the 719S at 13 inches high. Treat that as a maker-listed body-height figure, not the complete space required for installation. The exact manual does not supply a full width-depth-weight specification in the pages reviewed. More importantly, its safety section calls for furnishings and combustibles to remain at least three feet in front, away from the sides and rear. Measure the wall, nearby furniture, route of the cord and the full required clear area; a short body cannot compensate for a crowded spot. If any dimension or clearance is decisive, check the current rating label and installation materials before ordering rather than treating the panel’s height as its footprint.

Three heat levels, ECO and fan-only operation

The exact DR-HSH009S manual rates this unit at 1,500 watts on a 120-volt, 60-hertz supply. Its power-heat mode offers 900-, 1,300- and 1,500-watt levels. ECO mode lets you set 41°F to 95°F; the heater selects a low or high output according to the gap between room temperature and the set point, then switches off when the target is reached. That is more flexible than a single fixed output, but it is still one supplemental electric heater. The documents do not demonstrate how evenly it will heat a particular room, and a thermostat reading at the unit is not proof that a distant corner will feel the same.

There is also a separate Fan Only mode, so the 719S can move room air while heat is off. That makes it a different operating choice from DREO’s Convection Heater 711S, which heats without a fan and has no fan-only mode. Conversely, anyone who wants fanless heat should not mistake the 719S’s lower setting for the 711S’s different heating method. The manual’s button is labelled for “Fan Angle” and offers 60°, 90°, 120° and oscillation settings; the written instructions do not name the axis for those angles. The manual warns not to move the outlet fin by hand because it may malfunction or create a fire risk. Use the panel, remote or app, and do not assume its angle label proves a horizontal sweep or two-axis movement.

App scheduling is not the countdown timer

The 719S connects to the DREO app over Wi-Fi. The manual describes app setup, a schedule function and optional Alexa or Google Assistant connection; it says voice-assistant access requires a DREO account. DREO’s product page also describes scheduling heating hours. By contrast, the physical 0-to-24-hour timer is described as an auto-off countdown while the heater is running. These are different controls: use the app schedule when a recurring heating routine is the reason to buy, and do not treat the local timer as a documented off-to-on countdown. A physical remote is included, and the manual identifies its cell as CR2025, 3 V; the coin cell warning and battery instructions are worth keeping away from children.

Location limits and alternatives

The manual says the 719S is not intended for bathrooms, laundry areas or similar locations and must not be placed where it could fall into water. This is not a wet-area heater. It also says not to use it outdoors, not to cover it, and to keep the stated distance from combustibles. Those boundaries matter more than a product-page claim about warmth or convenience; do not transfer an ALCI feature from a different 517AS or 314 model to this standard 719S.

Choose the 719S when fixed mounting is acceptable and you want a wall fan heater with three heat levels, ECO control, fan-only airflow, remote operation and documented app scheduling. Compare the [Smart Wall-Mounted Heater 517S](/reviews/dreo-smart-wall-mounted-heater-517s/) if you want the related wall fan format, but that model’s product-page angle wording conflicts with its manual warning; do not buy it for a hand-adjustable fin without clarification. Compare the [Convection Heater 711S](/reviews/dreo-convection-heater-711s/) if fanless heat is more important than Fan Only airflow. If wall installation or the three-foot front clearance will not work, look at a documented portable model instead.

This is a product-page and manual assessment, not a hands-on room test. The published sound, energy-saving and room-warming language is manufacturer marketing, not independent comparative measurement. Read the DREO 719S listing with the WH719S manual and verify that the rating plate on the unit you buy says DR-HSH009S.
