A useful fit for

For a dry indoor floor position where a single fixed outlet, three listed Power Heat levels, ECO target and separate Fan Only mode cover the need. It is not a verified choice for a strict size limit, oscillation or hand-set aim.

The main tradeoff

The U.S. listing does not give full body dimensions, so a firm height/footprint cap cannot be checked. It is fixed-angle without powered oscillation or documented manual tilt; timer behavior is auto-off only. Remote inclusion is internally inconsistent across the manufacturer listing image/specification and the linked manual/box contents. Manual room, clearance and direct-receptacle restrictions still apply.

Your needs, this model

Does it fit your priorities?

Can the Ceramic Heater 316 move room air without using heat?

Yes. The exact DR-HSH006 U.S. manual lists a separate Fan Only mode. It does not make this fan heater a fanless convection model.

Will the heater sweep at least 70 degrees on its own?

No. DREO describes the exact product as fixed-angle and without oscillation; no manual tilt is documented.

Can I screen this listing against a strict body-height cap?

Not from the U.S. product information inspected: it does not publish complete body dimensions. A missing height must not be treated as a fit.

Does the exact manual permit bathroom use?

No. DR-HSH006 instructions prohibit bathrooms, laundry areas and similar indoor locations.

DREO’s current U.S. collection calls this the Ceramic Heater 316; the product page also uses the older Atom 316 name. The official Standard support entry identifies model DR-HSH006. Its U.S. manual cover says PTC Fan Heater and its rating panel lists DR-HSH006 and DR-HSH006A, but that shared manual does not turn this collection row into the ALCI version. The row itself is four color variants—Gold, Black, Silver and White—with SKUs 10-04006-146, 10-040061-001, 10-04006-124 and 10-04006-114. Those are finishes of the listed DR-HSH006 configuration, not four different heating systems.

Its defining choice is a fixed outlet

The 316 is a compact upright PTC fan heater, but it does not sweep from side to side. DREO’s product FAQ explicitly describes it as a fixed-angle design without oscillation, and the DR-HSH006 manual documents no powered movement or manual vertical aiming. That makes the model straightforward if you want to point the front grille toward one seating or work position and leave the heater there. It is not the one to choose when the outlet has to follow several positions around a room. The silver official image shown here is an isolated product rendering, not a room photograph or a guide to its safe operating space.

Three heat steps, ECO and fan-only

The manual rates the heater at 1,500 watts on 120 volts, 60 hertz. Power Heat offers H1 at 1,000 watts, H2 at 1,300 watts and H3 at 1,500 watts. ECO lets you set a target from 41°F to 95°F and automatically selects its power response; it may stop heating after the selected temperature is reached and resume as the measured temperature falls. Fan Only is a separate mode for moving room air without energizing the heater. The manual does not establish multiple fan-only speeds, so do not read the listing’s generic “number of speeds” field as a documented fan-speed count. Heating itself remains fan-forced, not fanless convection.

DREO describes rapid PTC heating and lists coverage of 200 square feet on the product page. That figure is a manufacturer listing, not a measurement in a room with known ceiling height, insulation, outdoor temperature or heat loss. We did not measure heating rate, noise, efficiency or temperature uniformity. If you are choosing between a fan heater and a silent, fanless convection panel, this is firmly in the fan-heater camp.

Timer and remote details need a careful read

The manual documents a 0–12-hour auto-off timer for a heater that is already running. It does not document a later start. Child lock, tip-over protection and overheat protection are described; a tip-over event and an overheat event have separate display codes. A memory function restores the last settings after power-off. Those controls are useful for a simple local routine, but they are not a substitute for supervising a hot appliance or following its placement rules.

Remote inclusion is less clear than the product styling suggests. DREO lists “Remote Control” among the product specifications and one product image shows a remote, but the current box-contents list names the heater, user manual and quick-start guide without a remote. The exact DR-HSH006/DR-HSH006A manual illustrates the touch control panel and does not provide a remote-control section. If a remote is an essential purchase condition, ask the seller to confirm the contents of the exact SKU rather than assuming a pictured accessory is included. The inspected U.S. materials do not establish app control.

Placement limits are more important than the compact look

The manual says household use only, on a stable, secure surface, and not outdoors, in bathrooms, laundry areas or similar locations. It warns against soft surfaces that can obstruct openings and requires a direct wall receptacle; do not use an extension cord or power strip. Combustible material, cords and furnishings must be at least three feet in front and away from the sides and rear. The front surface can become very hot. Keep the heater out of traffic, do not cover the inlet or outlet, and do not leave it running unattended in a confined space around infants or people who may not be able to respond safely.

The current U.S. page does not publish a complete body height, width or depth for this configuration. The image may look small, but that is not dimensional evidence. A firm shelf, desk-clearance or under-furniture limit should not accept the 316 until you can confirm its actual measurements and still preserve the required operating clearance. The manufacturer page’s nominal 200-square-foot coverage is not a substitute for this fit check.

Who should shortlist the 316?

Consider it when you want a portable indoor heater with three listed heat inputs, ECO temperature selection and an independently usable fan, and you are content with a fixed outlet and local controls. Pass if essential needs include verified height, automatic movement, manual aiming, app operation, a scheduled start, bathroom use or a confirmed remote in the box. The Ceramic Heater 319 is the more relevant comparison if you want a manufacturer-listed 70-degree powered sweep; the Heater 320 is a better fit if manual up/down tilt and published body dimensions matter. Those alternatives solve different placement and airflow needs, not a promise of stronger room heating.
