Vornado model comparison
Vornado VH240 vs VH10 vs VC-02: heat stages or added controls?
These Vornado floor heaters occupy different control niches; their “whole room” wording is not a comparative room-size test. The VH240 has three manually selected heat stages and a mechanical thermostat, the VH10 has two heat stages with a similar mechanical dial, and the VC-02 adds a remote, fan-only operation and a user-set auto-off timer. Each is an indoor supplemental heater, so the deciding details are the controls, size and restrictions in the exact model documents—not the shared brand.
VH240: the three-stage manual choice
The VH240 page and linked guide list Low, Medium and High plus an adjustable mechanical thermostat. Its table publishes 120 V, 60 Hz and 1,500/750 W, without mapping those two wattage values to all three dial positions. It is the smallest documented body of these three at 10.71 inches high and weighs 4.15 pounds. It has no listed fan-only mode, remote, app, oscillation or countdown timer. Note the unresolved label: the page/native title says VH240, but both directly linked PDFs say VH240+.
VH10: fewer heat positions, fewer established dimensions
The VH10 also uses a mechanical thermostat, but its current product materials list High and Low rather than three positions. The VH10 sources reviewed for this library do not establish body dimensions or a user-set timer. That means it is a reasonable fit when a simple two-level control is enough, but not when you need an exact height limit or a defined session countdown. Its directly linked guides use the VH10+ label, another bridge the maker has not explained.
VC-02: remote and timed session controls
Choose the VC-02 for a different use pattern: its exact listing/manual document a remote, fan-only mode and an auto-off countdown. Those controls are useful if you want to move air without heat or set an end time while you remain nearby. The existence of a timer does not authorize unattended operation. The VC-02's page and directly linked PDFs also differ by a plus suffix, so confirm the model label on a particular unit before relying on document-specific maintenance or limits.
Make the shortlist around one actual routine
Require three heat stages and a low-profile body, and the VH240 is the strongest documented fit of this trio. A two-stage manual dial is enough, and the VH10 remains an alternative. Need fan-only, remote operation and a shutoff countdown, and the VC-02 has the clearer control case. None has a documented permission for bathroom/wet use or unattended heating in the materials reviewed here. Keep airflow clear, plug directly into an appropriate wall outlet, and follow the exact supplied guide. Vornado does not give a comparable independently measured room-area, noise or temperature-rise result for these models; no model here should be chosen on a promised coverage number.
