Vornado MVH vs VH10: three heat steps or two?

The MVH and VH10 are both straightforward Vornado floor heaters, but the exact pages and linked documents describe different manual heat choices. The MVH listing shows Low/Medium/High and a mechanical thermostat; the VH10 materials show High/Low and a mechanical thermostat. Neither is a remote-first control system, and an adjustable thermostat is not a shutdown timer.

Choose heat steps, not a claimed room-size rating

If you want three selectable heat levels, the MVH is the more flexible of these two on paper. The page describes a Low setting for personal warmth and Vortex circulation across a room; neither description is a tested square-foot result. The exact listing/manual pair does not give a verified wattage-by-stage table, dimensions or a noise measurement, so those cannot be assumed for a tight input or furniture-fit constraint. The VH10’s two listed heat levels are simpler, but its specification record also leaves model-specific fit data incomplete. Compare the exact rating label and document before buying when those numbers are essential.

Do not infer a fan-only mode

The controls shown in the MVH+ guide are a power control, mechanical thermostat and three heating positions. It does not list a separate fan-only choice. The VH10 page and guide likewise do not document a separate fan-only mode. If you want air circulation with no heat, move to a product whose exact controls say Fan Only; for example, the VC-02 page-linked guide lists it, along with a remote and a one-to-twelve-hour auto-off countdown. The VC-02 listing and its PDFs also disagree on a plus suffix, so request the correct guide for the exact unit.

Check the label bridge and routine

The MVH current U.S. product row is Black, SKU EH1-0231-06, but the attached Use & Care and Product Support documents say MVH+. Vornado has not explained the extra character. The directly linked VH10 documents also retain a model-label suffix question. Do not resolve either by guessing: use the product’s rating label to obtain the correct instructions. Vornado’s heater guidance calls for attended, dry-location operation, direct wall-outlet connection and clear airflow. Neither heater should be paired with a third-party timer as a workaround.

Read the MVH assessment and VH10 assessment for the individual control and placement limits; choose VC-02 only if its extra controls will actually serve your routine.
