Model comparison
Lasko CC24810 vs CC24925 vs CC24910: fan modes, louvers and timer controls
The Lasko CC24810, CC24925 and CC24910 look like related console heaters, but they make different promises about fan-only use, louvers, settings, timer duration and remote contents. Compare the exact model number and its own manual; the family resemblance is not a substitute for the control details.
CC24810 adds functions, but its remote listing conflicts
The CC24810 manual documents three heat levels, two fan-only speeds, a 12-hour auto-off countdown, powered louvers and a control lock. Those features distinguish it from the CC24925 and CC24910 manuals, which document two heat levels, no separate fan-only mode, hand-adjustable louvers and a countdown of up to eight hours. Fan-only operation moves room air; it is not cooling. The CC24810 manual does not specify a louver travel angle or axis, so its powered louver function should not be converted into a claim of side-to-side body oscillation.
One shopping detail stays unresolved: CC24810's product page says “No Remote” in one field, but lists “Remote Control” in its accessories field; its manual troubleshooting also refers to remote batteries. Do not assume it arrives with a remote until Lasko clarifies the package. CC24910, by contrast, has a clear included-remote listing, though its two AAA batteries are separate. CC24925's current page says no remote is included. If that distinction is essential, CC24910 is the documented choice between those two similarly sized models.
Heat and timer choices
CC24810 is the only one of these three with three selectable heat levels and fan-only settings; the CC24925 and CC24910 each have two selectable heat modes. All list up to 1,500 watts, but the product pages give output ranges without a complete per-mode wattage map. A three-level control does not mean three known wattages. If exact low-mode electricity use is essential, none of these pages supplies a complete setting-by-setting figure.
CC24810's countdown reaches 12 hours, while CC24925 and CC24910 reach eight. Each is an off timer, not a scheduled later start. Auto Eco is also model-specific: the CC24810 manual describes a High/Low/off room-temperature cycle around the selected setpoint, while the CC24925 and current CC24910 instructions describe automatic control on High only. Check the actual manual revision if Low-mode cycling matters, especially for CC24910, whose older official instructions differ.
Aiming, fit and safe placement
The CC24925 and CC24910 use hand-adjusted louvers for vertical aiming. The CC24810 has a powered louver function instead; it may be more convenient when you want movement without changing the angle by hand, but the documents do not give a numeric range. None of these controls establishes room-wide heating performance. Their listed coverage figures are manufacturer claims, not comparative independent tests.
The published body dimensions are close but not identical: CC24810 is 23.29 inches high, 14.1 wide and 6.61 deep; the CC24925 and CC24910 pages list 23.23 by 15.65 by 7.65 inches. Compare body fit and the manual's placement clearances separately. The exact CC24810 manual requires 36 inches of front and 12 inches of side/rear clearance, a direct 120-volt wall outlet, dry residential indoor use and supervision. Do not infer that a shorter depth makes a tight nook acceptable. Follow each product's own instructions for its outlet, clearance and cleaning plan.
Which one should you compare first?
- CC24810: shortlist it for three heat selections, two fan-only speeds, powered louvers, control lock or a 12-hour shutoff. Verify remote contents; the listing conflicts.
- CC24925: consider it for two heat settings, hand-set vertical aiming and an eight-hour countdown if an included remote and fan-only mode are not essential.
- CC24910: compare it when a clearly listed included remote matters, while accepting two heat settings and an eight-hour countdown.
CC20125 is another useful comparison when you want three heat settings and a 12-hour timer in a shorter-bodied console; consult that model's separate review and manual rather than importing CC24810's powered louvers or fan-only features. None of these comparisons demonstrates that one model heats a particular room faster, more evenly or more economically. Pick the controls that fit your real routine, then verify exact dimensions and clearances.
