Fit

Measure for a tower heater before you order

Measure the complete operating spot before choosing a tall portable heater. The body dimensions are only one part of fit: you need room for the base, the cord, the air outlet and the clearances in the manual.

Compare the real body dimensions

The DREO Tower Heater 718 is listed at 29.7 inches tall, 7.9 inches wide and deep, and 8 pounds. The MC706 is 42.46 inches tall with a 12.91-inch-square base and 13.46-pound weight. The Solaris Max (2nd Gen.) is marketed as a 25-inch heater, but its current product page lists a 26.77-inch height, 8.66-inch width and depth, and 8.83 pounds. Use the exact listed dimensions, not the shorter marketing name.

Measure the route, not just the final footprint

Check the narrowest doorway, hallway turn and storage location. The MC706’s base needs assembly and its height may make it awkward to carry or store in a low cabinet. Check where the control panel faces and whether the included remote is useful from your usual seat. Do not assume the heater can safely sit on a shelf or table; the reviewed manuals require a stable, level location and do not authorize furniture placement.

Reserve the manual’s operating clearance

The DREO manuals require combustible materials to stay at least three feet from the front and clear of the sides and rear. The heater also needs unobstructed air intake and exhaust. Measure the available volume with those clearances included, then check where the cord will reach the wall outlet. A compact base does not mean the heater can be tucked beside curtains or bedding.

Use height and fan needs together

A 27-inch body-height ceiling leaves the Solaris Max as the only one of these three that fits the published height; a 30-inch limit also admits the 718. If you need 12 documented fan speeds, the MC706 is the confirmed choice but requires the most height and footprint. If you need a wide 120° swing in a shorter tower, the 718 documents that range. Use the [finder](/find/) to combine a hard height limit with fan needs, then read the exact model assessment before ordering.

Put the setup details beside the features.
